Now that you've RSVPed, where do you want to stay?

As you know, the wedding itself is taking place about 30 minutes south of Saint Paul (45 min-an hour from Minneapolis), and, if you are traveling from out of town, you have a couple of geographic options that might drive where you choose to stay:

1. If you are coming in Saturday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning, it may be easier for you to stay in Hastings, where the ceremony/reception are taking place. (If this is the case, please see the "In-Towner Info" tab on the left.)

2. If you are staying for a few days, you might want to stay closer to the downtown areas, so you can be closer to the action and attractions of the city.  You may even want to make a bit of a vacation out of the whole thing since the Twin Cities is such fabulous place to visit!

In keeping with the theme of the wedding, we tried to list unique, interesting, places to stay with a local flair and a homey feel, but there is also a Holiday Inn/Ramada/etc. in both downtown areas.  If a hotel or the B&B's we have listed aren't in the budget or just aren't your style, though, the house share might be a good option!  Usually you can get a great deal on the nightly fee alone, but then you can  also cook your own meals, etc. We love you all, and want you to be able to enjoy our day on YOUR terms!

Covington Inn Bed & Breakfast

Covington inn
The Covington Inn is a truly magical place to stay.  For 30 years, this 300 ton Covington pushed barges up and down the Mississippi, and now it's been converted into an amazingly beautiful B&B. (This is as quaint and unique to the Twin Cities as they come, folks!!!) The location offers luxury accommodations, nestled in the heart of downtown Saint Paul, complete with the unique experience of sleeping afloat the longest river in the US, surrounded by high-rise buildings and the sounds of the city.  It's far enough off the beaten path that you feel like you're on your own private oasis, but it's still within walking distance to all the downtown bars, restaurants, and attractions.

Cathedral Hill Bed & Breakfast

Want to feel like you are taking a trip to gradma's? Then this is the place for you. The SWEETEST, most adorable older couple owns this house and runs the B & B. Their rooms are adorable-- very Midwestern country quaint. They have a "green policy" that they stand by, and they support local businesses with every purchase they make.

House Rental

If you know some other folks who are also coming in from out of town, we SERIOUSLY recommend renting a house!  It can be much more affordable than any hotel for the nightly fee alone, then you can also cook your own meals and maybe share the cost of a rental car as well!  There are some great lofts for rent in downtown Minneapolis, cute apartments with character on Grand Ave in Saint Paul, and many more! If you have any questions about what location might be best for you, don't hesitate to call!!!

There are tons of websites for vacation rentals in the Twin Cities, but here are some of our favorites:
